有機合成化学,有機材料化学
硫黄原子やヨウ素原子の有する様々な特性を利用し、反応手法も含めた有機合成法の開発を行っている。また、得られた有機化合物の物性の評価、それらを基にした新規化合物のデザインと合成を行っている。とくに、有機π電子系化合物の機能性に着目した研究を行っている。
